Here is your Daily Buzz! Have a great day!

Secretary of Education Zoie Saunders and VT Commissioner of the Lottery Wendy Knight came to EFMHS to see the innovation in Russ La Mantia’s classroom. Russ’ current project is 3D printing first elements of the periodic table and then he’s going to have them print molecules. The idea is these things are too small for students to even imagine so they “enlarge” and make the concept hands-on with 3D printing. This was all made possible by a $14,000+ Vermont Lottery Grant named Educate/Innovate. Only 2 grants were awarded in the state and this became the showcase! Showcase essentially is to see how innovative tools and experiences can transform the learning process.

As part of a compliance requirement with USDA policy, we are working on the required triennial review of our District's Local Wellness Policy. We are required to attend to whether our policy adheres to the model policy created by the Agency of Education, as well as how our practices align with the goals outlined in the draft policy.
Below is the FNESU Draft Policy - written to closely follow the VT AOE 2024 Model Local Wellness Policy.
