Local Scholarships:

  • Applications can be found by clicking on relevant links indicated  (Hard copies are also available in the school counseling office).

  • All Scholarships are listed on the bulletin board "Senior Corner" by the water fountain with due dates. Paper applications are also available in guidance. 

  • The EFHS Scholarship page will be updated weekly on Fridays.

Vermont Federal Credit Union Scholarship: Deadline 04/24/2026 ⌛

Scholarship amount: $2,000

Eligibility: Must be accepted to or enroll in an accredited undergraduate program at a college, trade school, or university (minimum 12 credit semester or full time equivalent). Studies must begin within one year of receiving the award (Fall 2026 or Spring 2027). Be a Vermont Federal Credit Union Member. Not a member? Those who live, work, worship or attend school anywhere in Vermont can become a member.

Winona Smith Scholarship: Deadline: 04/30/2026 ⌛

Scholarship Amount: $3,000

Requirements: Scholarships are awarded based on student interest in civic participation and community service, financial need, completed application form, required essays, and teacher commendation. You will need:

  • Two essays of 300-500 words each.

  • One Letter of Reference from a teacher or school representative who is familiar with your achievements and abilities.

Cold Hollow Education Association Scholarship: Deadline 05/01/2026 ⌛

Scholarship Amount: $750.00

Qualifications: High School seniors who plan to pursue post-secondary education (two year associate's degree or beyond). High School seniors with financial needs who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership qualities, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to serving others.

Chauncey B. Warner Memorial Scholarship: Deadline: 05/01/2026 ⌛

Scholarship Amount: $3,000

These scholarships are based on financial eligibility (low income) and can be awarded for any post-secondary goals, including two-year, four-year, or trade schools.

Lee A. Walker Memorial Scholarship: Deadline: 05/16/2026⌛

Qualifications: Have plans to attend a post High School graduate institution: college, trade or technical school, etc. Have demonstrated good leadership through their high school career. Have a GPA at the minimum college level acceptance of 2.5. Have provided the requirements of the application.

Horatio Alger Career & Technical Scholarship : Deadline 06/15/2026 ⌛

Qualifications:

  • Have completed high school (or equivalency) by July 1

  • Plan to attend a not-for-profit community college or trade/vocational school

  • Enroll in an associate’s degree, certificate, or diploma program by September that will lead to employment

  • May not be enrolled in pre-requisite courses

  • Demonstrate financial need (applicants must show household income of $100,000 or less)

  • Be under the age of 35

  • Be a United States citizen
